Continuous Improvement Specialist II

Thermo Fisher Scientific seeks a Continuous Improvement Specialist II to lead process improvement initiatives and drive operational excellence across manufacturing operations. The role involves managing lean projects, facilitating Kaizen events, and building continuous improvement capabilities through cross-functional collaboration.

Responsibilities

• Lead and manage process improvement projects to enhance efficiency and reduce waste
• Facilitate Kaizen events and value stream mapping exercises with cross-functional teams
• Provide training and coaching on continuous improvement methodologies and lean tools
• Analyze data to identify operational improvement opportunities and implement solutions
• Guide change management initiatives and foster continuous improvement culture

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree preferred in engineering, business, science, or operations management
• Experience implementing Lean, Six Sigma, or Kaizen methodologies
• Green Belt or Black Belt certification preferred
• Proficiency with lean tools: value stream mapping, 5S, visual management, root cause analysis
• Strong data analysis and problem-solving skills with ability to implement solutions
• Expertise in Microsoft Office suite, especially Excel and PowerPoint
• Track record of achieving measurable operational improvements and cost savings
