Key Responsibilities\n

• Conduct individual therapy sessions and group therapy sessions aimed at addressing various mental health challenges in clients’ homes or our outpatient facility.

• Implement strategies for anger management, coping mechanisms, and social skills, while proactively reducing high-risk behaviors such as self-injurious behavior (SIB) or physical aggression.
\n
• Enhance decision-making skills among youth and their caretakers to manage behavioral challenges at home.
\n
• Engage in seamless collaboration with the Child Family Treatment Team and relevant professionals from other disciplines to optimize support provided to youth and their families.
\n
• Maintain accurate and timely documentation, including intake forms, treatment plans, and progress notes, as per organizational requirements.
\n
• Participate in monthly team meetings, providing recommendations and insights to foster continuous improvement in our therapeutic practices.

Patient Population / Client Focus\n

Our clientele includes individuals, couples, and families, particularly focusing on youth populations facing various mental health challenges. You will have the opportunity to provide therapy and support to clients from diverse backgrounds, helping them navigate issues such as anxiety, depression, relationship conflicts, and behavioral problems. Qualifications\n

• A Master’s degree in Counseling, Family Therapy, or a closely aligned field is required.

• An active and unrestricted Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist (LMFT) license is mandatory.

• Availability to work a minimum of 5-10 hours per week during after-school hours of 4-7 PM.

• Experience in providing positive behavior support is essential.
\n
• Possession of a valid driver’s license and a registered vehicle for potential client visits is necessary.

• Successful completion of a criminal background check, including fingerprinting, is required.

Preferred Experience\n

• At least 2 years of experience as a practicing LMFT in a clinical setting with a focus on youth and family therapy.

• Demonstrated ability to work collaboratively within interdisciplinary teams.
