Facility Security Officer/ Office Manager

Overview of Role Liquid Robotics is currently seeking a skilled Facility Security Officer who also serves as Office Manager for our Jessup, MD facility. Reporting to the Head of Production, this position manages day‑to‑day activities to ensure security compliance and maintains Liquid Robotics headquarters operations. The role includes managing facility security documents, visitor badge screening, maintaining facility security clearance eligibility, ordering office supplies, ensuring routine facility maintenance, and coordinating with facility support contractors. The ability to adapt to a fast‑paced dynamic environment is essential. The position will be based in Jessup, Maryland. Key Responsibilities (Primary Role: Facility Security Officer) Executes Internal Security Controls through performance of compliance assessment reviews and self‑inspections to ensure compliance with government and company regulations/requirements. Develops policies and procedures to comply with company and government requirements related to Insider Threat Program management, documentation of non‑compliance incidents, reporting adverse information and SEAD3 relevant changes, and classification management of holdings and contractual documents. Identifies security‑related deficiencies, develops and implements corrective action, and communicates results to security management and customers. Supports Boeing Personnel Security team in submitting applications to assist in obtaining individual security clearances and building access to meet customer requirements. Ensures company/employee compliance with required security awareness training and education program to protect people, property, and information. Performs physical security duties and responsibilities within Liquid Robotics facilities to ensure compliance with company and government regulations/requirements. Communicates results to security management and customers. Key Responsibilities (Secondary Role: Facility Office Manager) Communicates and coordinates facility and security policy and procedures to all employees. Complies with HS&E policies and procedures. Completes and maintains all facility documents required for Liquid Robotics Quality Management System compliance. Manages and maintains facilities support services/contractors (cleaners, equipment maintenance, etc.). Maintains and orders office, manufacturing, kitchen, and other supplies. Inspects building to determine functional systems, detect malfunctions, and recommend repairs using a checklist. Performs basic facilities work, aiming to minimize external services. Sorts and distributes mail & deliveries. Performs other work‑related duties as assigned. Must be able to work flexible hours. Skills / Qualifications Proficiency in MS Office. Strong communication and interpersonal skills. Must possess FSO certification from DCSA CDSE. Must be customer service oriented. Ability to understand and follow directions as given. Ability to work with minimal supervision. Bachelor’s degree with 6+ years of experience, or equivalent combination of education and experience. Prior military service or defense contracting experience is a plus. Ability to push up to 100 pounds (on wheeled dollies/carts). Ability to lift 50 pounds. Ability to climb a ladder and step ladder. Ability to work outside (rain or shine) and walk a quarter mile distance. U.S. Citizen status is required. Pay is based upon candidate experience and qualifications, as well as market and business considerations. Summary pay range: $85,000 - $100,000.
