About the team: The Inventory Optimization team is dedicated to enhancing inventory distribution by analyzing data to ensure products are available at the right locations, quantities, and times. Collaborating with cross-functional partners, the team drives sales and profitability through effective inventory control and profit and loss management. Emphasizing continuous improvement, accountability, and clear communication, team members apply strong leadership and analytical skills to support operational excellence. This team plays a vital role in advancing Walmart’s supply chain efficiency and delivering value by making data-driven decisions aligned with business objectives. What you'll do:Coordinate and oversee inventory management activities, ensuring alignment with business goals and customer needs.Develop and maintain relationships with key stakeholders to support inventory plans and initiatives.Manage profit and loss for inventory, performing analysis, forecasting, and budget monitoring to meet financial targets.Supervise and develop associates through hiring, training, mentoring, and performance management.Ensure compliance with company policies, regulatory requirements, and ethical standards in all inventory processes.Lead continuous improvement efforts by identifying opportunities and promoting adaptability and learning.Collaborate cross-functionally to resolve issues and optimize inventory operations.What you'll bring:Proven expertise in inventory management with strong analytical and data-driven decision-making skills.Demonstrated leadership experience in supervising, mentoring, and developing team members to achieve operational goals.Ability to manage profit and loss (P&L) responsibilities, including forecasting, budgeting, and financial analysis.Strong collaboration and communication skills to build relationships with cross-functional stakeholders and drive continuous improvement.Commitment to upholding company policies, ethics, and compliance standards while promoting accountability and operational excellence.Experience in managing returns, recalls, and supplier relationships to ensure accuracy and regulatory compliance. The annual salary range for this position is $70,000.00 - $130,000.00 Additional compensation includes annual or quarterly performance bonuses. Additional compensation for certain positions may also include Regional Pay Zone (RPZ) (based on location).
