Responsibilities
- Plan and provide comprehensive nursing care for patients and families across antepartum, intrapartum, and postpartum periods, including emergency situations.
- Monitor fetal and maternal status, assess amniotic fluid, vaginal bleeding, and overall well-being; respond to perinatal emergencies (e.g., crash C-section, precipitous delivery, shoulder dystocia).
- Circulate for C-sections and assist with epidural catheter placement; monitor maternal and fetal status during and after medication administration.
- Develop and implement multidisciplinary, goal-oriented care plans; educate patients and families using developmentally appropriate methods.
- Document all nursing care clearly and timely in the patient record; collaborate with the care team and supervise/delegate tasks to ancillary personnel within scope of practice.
- Adapt to LDRP models and maintain competency with EPIC-based documentation; participate in transition to night shifts as internal movements are completed.

Requirements
- Education: Associate Degree in Nursing required; Bachelor's Degree in Nursing preferred
- Licenses/Certifications: Current RN license in California (or state of practice); Basic Life Support (BLS); Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS); Neonatal Resuscitation Program (NRP); Intermediate Fetal Monitoring Course; AHA-ACLS or ARC-ALS; AHA-NRP or ARC-NALS; AWHONN Advanced Fetal Monitoring
- Experience: Minimum two years of recent Labor & Delivery experience; LDRP model experience preferred
- Additional: Proven EPIC electronic medical record experience; ability to work 3x12 night shifts and participate in a transitional period with day shift coverage as internal movements occur
