Machine Operator IV Location: Sussex, WI N59 W22387 Silver Spring Dr., Sussex, WI 53089 Available Shifts: 2nd and 3rd Shift (8-hour schedules) Schedule: (2nd) 2:45 PM - 11:00 PM & (3rd) 10:45 PM–7:00 AM Build Your Future with Pregis As a Senior Machine Operator, you are trusted to own your equipment and play a critical role in producing high-quality packaging solutions while ensuring our equipment operates safely and efficiently. This hands-on position is ideal for individuals with manufacturing experience who enjoy working with machinery, solving problems, and contributing to a fast-paced production environment. What You’ll Do Set up and operate production equipment according to manufacturing specifications and safety requirements. Perform machine startup, shutdown, and changeover activities. Monitor machine performance throughout production runs to ensure efficiency and quality. Adjust machine settings and operating parameters to optimize performance and reduce downtime. Identify and resolve basic equipment issues to maintain continuous production. Conduct routine machine inspections and basic preventive maintenance activities. Escalate equipment concerns when additional maintenance support is needed. Safely operate electric pallet jacks, roll lifts, and hoists. Perform quality inspections in accordance with the Pregis Quality Management System. Monitor product quality and make adjustments to maintain production standards. Accurately document production output, machine settings, and operational issues. Support continuous improvement efforts to increase efficiency and reduce waste. Follow all company safety policies, procedures, and quality standards. Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment. Communicate effectively with team members during shift handoffs and throughout the production process. What We’re Looking For Previous machine and equipment operating experience and industrial safety practices. Mechanical aptitude, experience with quality inspections, troubleshooting, and process improvement initiatives Basic computer and mathematical skills. Strong attention to detail and commitment to product quality. Ability to follow standardized work instructions and procedures. Strong work ethic, reliability, and safety mindset. Physical Requirements Frequent standing, walking, bending, stooping, and reaching throughout the shift. Ability to lift, push, and pull up to 50 pounds. Exposure to moving machinery and manufacturing equipment. Use of required Personal Protective Equipment (PPE), including safety glasses, hearing protection, and other equipment as required.
