Role Description The Bilingual Production Planning, Scheduling, & Expediting Coordinator is a full-time, on-site role based in Corona, CA. This position is responsible for creating, maintaining, and updating production schedules to ensure efficient workflow and on-time delivery of products. Day-to-day tasks include coordinating with production, engineering, purchasing, and sales teams to align capacity, materials, and deadlines; monitoring work orders and progress; and identifying bottlenecks or delays. The coordinator will track and expedite critical jobs, adjust schedules as needed, and prepare reports on production status and performance. This role also involves maintaining accurate data in planning systems, supporting continuous improvement initiatives, and communicating schedule changes and priorities clearly across the organization.

Qualifications

Candidates should possess strong Production Planning and Production Schedules skills, including experience creating and managing detailed shop floor schedules.

Candidates should possess solid Planning and Analytical Skills to forecast demand, allocate resources, and resolve scheduling conflicts using data-driven decisions.

Candidates should possess effective Communication skills to coordinate with cross-functional teams and clearly convey priorities, changes, and timelines.

Experience in manufacturing or fabrication environments, preferably metal or custom structures, is beneficial.

Proficiency with ERP/MRP or similar production planning software and strong Excel skills is preferred.

Ability to organize multiple projects, meet tight deadlines, and maintain attention to detail in a fast-paced setting.

Relevant education such as an associate or bachelor’s degree in operations, supply chain, business, or a related field, or equivalent practical experience.

Core Responsibilities

Direct a dock team of 5-6 workers through daily inbound receiving, receiving inspection, production & warehousing material handlers, outbound shipping, and freight handling activities

Assign dock doors, staging lanes, and equipment to carrier arrivals and departures based on the day's schedule and priorities

Conduct pre-shift safety briefings and ensure all dock personnel are wearing required PPE and following safe material handling procedures

Monitor dock worker performance: throughput rates, error rates, attendance, and adherence to standard procedures

Review and approve dock documentation—receiving records, BOLs, discrepancy logs—before they're processed or filed

Address freight exceptions in real time: short shipments, damaged goods, carrier no-shows, and urgent outbound scheduling changes

Coordinate with the warehouse and inventory control teams on receiving discrepancies, product holds, and put away priority

Coach dock workers on performance issues and document conversations for progressive discipline when needed

Maintain dock equipment—forklifts, pallet jacks, dock levelers—by tracking defects and submitting maintenance work orders

Report ongoing shift performance metrics to Management at end-of-shift summaries

Receiving

Supervise the confirmation and recording of incoming shipments, including verifying quantities, conditions, and documentation

Inspect goods for damage or discrepancies and coordinate corrections with suppliers

Ensure compliance with safety rules, sanitation, and quality standards

Process invoices and coordinate payments with finance

 

Warehousing

Manage inventory accuracy, stock levels, and product placement

Maintain warehouse cleanliness, organization, and safety compliance

Monitor stock turnover and place replenishment orders as needed

Use warehouse management systems (WMS) to track inventory and shipment data

Shipping

Prepare and issue shipping documents, bills of lading, and labels

Supervise loading and unloading of trucks, ensuring proper packaging and routing

Coordinate with carriers and freight forwarders for pickups and deliveries

Ensure shipments meet delivery schedules and customer requirements

Operational Oversight

Schedule and assign work to receiving, warehousing, and shipping teams

Implement and enforce safety procedures and compliance regulations

Train and mentor staff on efficient and safe handling of goods

Identify process improvements to reduce costs and increase throughput

Key Skills & Qualifications

Education: High school diploma or GED; degree in logistics, supply chain, or related field preferred.

Experience: 5+ years in warehouse, receiving, shipping, or logistics operations

Certifications: Forklift operator, OSHA 10-hour, Hazmat shipping, or related credentials

Skills: Strong leadership, problem-solving, attention to detail, strong computer skills, and knowledge of WMS and logistics software

Salary range: $72K- $98K depending on location, industry, and experience
