Position Summary To assist with social media content and provide support to the Social Media Strategist. Key Responsibilities Assist with writing, scheduling, and maintaining the social media content calendar. Collaborate with department content creators to cultivate and curate social media content for the UNW community. Engage with UNW constituents (alumni, students, staff, and faculty) through monitoring UNW’s social media accounts. Ensure that content follows UNW branding and written communication guidelines as well as the social media policy. Assist with scheduling, planning, and advertising for ZeeMee Live events. Assist with website updates, photography/videography, or blog writing as needed. Perform other duties as requested or assigned. Qualifications Sophomore standing or higher preferred Communications Studies, Marketing, Professional Writing, Public Relations majors preferred Technically competent with experience working on websites and social media platforms: Instagram, Facebook, LinkedIn, X, TikTok, YouTube, and ZeeMee. Willingness to learn the following tools: Sprout Social (scheduling), Wrike (project management), Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, Outlook), Google (Calendar, Gmail, Drive, Analytics), Adobe InDesign, and Photoshop. Maintain a growing, personal relationship with Jesus Christ, reflect His character in all interactions, and faithfully uphold and embrace Northwestern’s mission, Doctrinal Statement and Declaration of Christian Community Key Skills Independent & Teamwork: Capable of working both independently and collaboratively, with minimal supervision. Confidentiality: Maintains discretion and handles sensitive information appropriately. Organizational Skills: Strong time management and problem-solving abilities; able to prioritize and meet deadlines with attention to detail. Technical Proficiency: Intermediate to advanced computer skills, including Microsoft Office and related software. Written & Verbal Communication: Strong writing, editing, proofreading, and verbal communication skills. Punctuality & Initiative: Prompt, self-motivated, and able to thrive in a fast-paced, evolving environment with shifting responsibilities. Background Check: Must pass background check as a condition of employment.
