Position Details: Grow your career as a Hospitalist Nurse Practitioner/Physician Assistant at the Hospital of Central CT on a high-acuity hospital medicine team. You will be supported by a strong, collaborative hospitalist model with 2 APPs and 2 physicians on every shift. Care for a diverse, complex patient population while benefiting from structured mentorship, robust onboarding, and ongoing education through monthly grand rounds.

Role: Open to Nurse Practitioners (APRN) and Physician Assistants (PA)

Location: New Britain, CT

Setting: 100% Inpatient Hospital Medicine

Schedule: Full-time nights, 7 on/7 off, 7pm-7am

Hospitalist Nurse Practitioners and Physician Assistants Role Scope:

Under established guidelines and in collaboration and/or supervision with the practice physician(s), Nurse Practitioners and Physician Assistants perform routine physical examinations, and formulate medical, educational, and psychosocial plans to treat patients. In consultation with the physician(s) and care team members, Nurse Practitioners and Physician Assistants develop plans for further evaluation of health needs, e.g., referral to other health team members or specialists. Nurse Practitioners or Physician Assistants provide appropriate treatment for problems within the scope of the provider's practice as designated by protocols and identifies problems outside of their scope of practice and refers appropriately to physician.

Qualifications:

• Licensure: Unrestricted State of Connecticut Medical License (or eligible)
• Training: APRN (Nurse Practitioner) or Physician Assistant
• Experience: New grads welcome to apply! Preferred: 1+ years' experience in an inpatient hospitalist setting

Regular Standard Hours Per Week: 40

Schedule: Full-time (40 hours)
