Corporate Accountant

Alta Resources is Hiring!This position is an integral part of the team that handles the preparation, analysis, and distribution of financial information for both internal and external purposes. Responsibilities include transactional reconciliations, report creation, analysis, client invoicing, regulatory filings, and follow-up to inquiries. Special projects shall also be assigned by management.Essential Duties & ResponsibilityCompleting assigned portions of the monthly and annual financial close cycles.Completing assigned portions of tax filings, registrations and related auditsCompiling and analyzing financial information for preparing entries to the general ledger accounts while documenting and performing business transactions.Supporting audits of financial records and tax filings.Assisting in the preparation of all government reportsPerforming expense allocations to departments.Prepares monthly reconciliations of balance sheet accounts.Performing Treasury Management Tasks including bank covenant compliance calculations and bank reconciliations.Preparing lease schedules and reconciliations.Maintaining fixed asset records and reconciliationsInvoicing clients and billing managementStudying and standardizing procedures to improve efficiency. Corporate Purchasing processes relating to contracts and purchase order creationRegular attendance, punctuality and adherence to agreed-upon schedule of availability are conditions of employment and essential function of this position.Other duties as assignedQualificationsEducation: Bachelor's Degree in Accounting is required. Work Experience: At least 2 years of accounting experience is required.Additional SkillsEnglish proficiency required Knowledge in financial and accounting software applications. Knowledge of finance, accounting, budgeting and cost control principles including Generally Accepted Accounting Principles. Knowledge in automated financial and accounting reporting systems. Knowledge in Government regulations. Ability to read, analyzes, and interprets common scientific and technical journals, financial reports, and legal documents. Ability to analyze financial data and prepare financial reports, statements and projections.
