Staff Accountant

Job Description
The Staff Accountant role services multiple small business clients on an ongoing basis. The role processes transactions in QuickBooks, reconciles accounts, prepares financial statements and assists with tax return preparation. Having tax preparation experience is a plus but not required.
Duties:
- Build and maintain external client relationships.
- Prepare and analyze financial statements, including balance sheets, income statements, and cash flow statements.
- Perform account reconciliations to ensure accuracy and completeness of financial data.
- Process payroll and ensure compliance with applicable laws and regulations.
- Prepare and file regulatory reports, such as tax returns and government surveys.
- Assist in the preparation of financial reports for management and external stakeholders.
- Support the month-end and year-end close processes.
- Maintain the general ledger and ensure proper recording of financial transactions.
- Prepare business and personal tax returns.
