Senior Accountant

The Convey team is looking for a proactive and detail-oriented Senior Accountant. The Senior Accountant will work closely and collaborate with the team on tasks like billing, monthly closing, expenses, payables, banking, and general accounting support. This is a great opportunity to join a well-supported team, and partner with a variety of cross-functional teams. What you’ll do: Assist with month-end closing processes and own responsibilities, such preparation of journal entries, intercompany entries, account reconciliation with supporting schedules, prepaid expenses, fixed assets, accruals, etc. Prepare monthly variance analysis comparing actual results to prior periods and budgeted figures. Oversee and streamline processes related to specialized revenue streams, ensuring accurate recording and reporting. Assist with audits, providing necessary documentation and support. Draft and maintain detailed documentation of accounting processes, including policy and procedure documents, working cross-functionally to complete. Support and manage special projects and related ad-hoc accounting initiatives. Identify and implement improvements to existing processes, improve internal controls, seek new initiatives and display the willingness to take on special projects both individually and as part of a team. Other tasks are based on team and business needs. Qualifications Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance 5+ years of experience in an accounting role; start-up environment preferred. Knowledge of finance principles, and reporting. Proficiency in Excel; pivot tables, lookups, etc. Proficiency in NetSuite accounting software What you have - Required Skills: Data-driven with strong critical thinking abilities. Highly organized and detail oriented. Enjoy diving into complex issues to find solutions with a “can do” attitude, but also working in a flexible, supportive, and energetic team-environment. Strong communication, research, and problem-solving skills. Passionate about accounting and have experience working in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment. Must be a quick learner and comfortable with ambiguity and multitasking. Highly motivated individual with the drive to learn and who knows how to work independently and within a team.
