A leading multi-clinic Prosthetic & Orthotic company in Tennessee is seeking a Prosthetic and Orthotic Technician to join the team in our East Tennessee clinics. As a Prosthetic and Orthotic Technician, you play a key hands-on role in bringing custom-designed prosthetic and orthotic devices to life. Youll work closely with clinicians to fabricate, modify, finish, and repair a wide range of patient-specific devices using both traditional and modern fabrication methods. This position is essential to ensuring that every device produced meets our standards of quality, safety, fit, and craftsmanship. Description of Responsibilities
The Lab Technician is responsible for serving and supporting the Clinic Manager, Lab Manager, and Practitioners in fabrication of prosthetic, orthotic and pedorthic devices and clinical care.

Responsibilities of the Prosthetic and Orthotic Technician include the following:
The lab must run like clockwork. Downtime is bad, and time wasted is worse. Individual will be expected to hit the due dates and work efficiently. Lab is our process center and must produce. Individual will be provided with proper training and ample time to learn lab function. It takes years to master lab skills and processes used in the O&P industry but the right individual with the right spirit can learn efficiently. Perfection is not expected but individual should strive for it on every case. Individual may have multiple trainers but will report only to the Lab Manager. Individual will be expected to perform at a minimum the following lab function:

1. Learn to mix plaster and vermiculite and form a cast mold as well as remove and modify it.
2. Learn products - types of plastics, what temperature to heat products and properties etc...
3. Vacuum forming - almost daily
4. Work orders will be supplied with due dates/ deadlines. Products need to be completed on time and correctly the first time.
5. Lab organization - individual is expected to keep lab clean, organized, and to put all tools back after completing a job.
6. Always look for faster and more cost-effective ways to deliver excellent devices to our patients.
7. Adhere to lab policy.

Minimum Qualifications

1. Experience working in an O&P lab, with experience in Prosthetics, Orthotics and Pedorthics is preferred.
2. A team player with a can-do attitude, esp. in the midst of challenging cases and circumstances.
3. Computer skills that include word processing, and efficient use of the internet and e-mail.
4. A clearly demonstrated commitment to deliver only excellent products.
