Position Overview

\n

We are seeking an experienced accounting leader to oversee enterprise-wide financial reporting, multi-entity consolidations, and complex accounting matters. This individual will play a key role in strengthening financial reporting processes, supporting executive decision-making, and ensuring compliance with U.S. GAAP and internal control standards.

\n

Working closely with the Chief Accounting Officer and cross-functional leadership, the Director will manage consolidated reporting, evaluate complex transactions, support acquisition-related accounting, and deliver financial information to ownership groups and lending partners. The ideal candidate combines strong technical accounting expertise with a hands-on approach to process improvement and team development.

Key Responsibilities

\n

• Financial Reporting & Consolidations: Lead monthly, quarterly, and annual reporting cycles across multiple legal entities, ensuring accurate consolidated financial statements, intercompany eliminations, account reconciliations, and supporting schedules.
\n
• Accounting Systems & Close Management: Oversee consolidation structures, entity configurations, account mappings, and reporting workflows within Microsoft Dynamics 365 Finance or a comparable ERP platform. Coordinate close deadlines and improve the accuracy and efficiency of reporting processes.
\n
• Technical Accounting: Research and resolve complex accounting questions under U.S. GAAP. Assess contracts, leases, financing agreements, and significant business transactions to determine appropriate accounting treatment.
\n
• Acquisitions & Corporate Transactions: Direct accounting activities associated with acquisitions, divestitures, and other strategic transactions, including purchase accounting, opening balance sheets, goodwill, intangible assets, and amortization schedules.
\n
• Ownership & Lender Reporting: Prepare financial packages and supporting analyses for ownership stakeholders. Assist with lender deliverables, covenant calculations, compliance certificates, and related disclosures.

• Internal Controls & Audit Coordination: Maintain and enhance financial reporting controls and SOX documentation. Partner with internal and external auditors on annual audits, control testing, and technical accounting reviews.
\n
• Cross-Functional Partnership: Collaborate with FP&A, Treasury, Tax, and Accounting leadership to align financial results, resolve reporting discrepancies, and support business planning.
\n
• Process Improvement & Leadership: Identify opportunities to streamline accounting operations, strengthen controls, improve systems, and provide technical guidance to accounting team members.

Required Qualifications

\n

\n
• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related discipline.
\n
• At least six years of progressive experience in corporate accounting, financial reporting, technical accounting, or consolidations.
\n
• Strong command of U.S. GAAP and the ability to independently research and document accounting conclusions.
\n
• Demonstrated experience with multi-entity consolidations and intercompany accounting.
\n
• Knowledge of SOX requirements, internal control frameworks, and external audit processes.
\n
• Experience using Microsoft Dynamics 365 Finance or a similar ERP system with consolidation capabilities.
\n
• Advanced Excel skills and the ability to analyze complex financial information.

• Active CPA license or designation.
\n
• Experience in public accounting with a national or regional firm.
\n
• Background in a private equity-backed, sponsor-owned, or infrastructure-focused organization.
\n
• Exposure to capital-intensive industries such as telecommunications, utilities, fiber, or infrastructure.
\n
• Experience with acquisition accounting, business combinations, and complex corporate structures.
\n
• Familiarity with lender reporting and debt covenant compliance.
