Bachelor's or Master's degree in Special Education, active Special Education Teacher license and minimum 1+ years Special Education Teacher experience required. Applicants who do not meet these qualifications will not be considered.

This contract opportunity located near Sterling Heights, MI features two openings, each offering a full-time schedule of 40 hours per week. You'll work closely with a dedicated team committed to helping every student reach their full potential.

Qualifications & Experience Sought:

• Valid Special Education Teaching certification, appropriate for K-8 levels
• Experience working with diverse learners and implementing Individualized Education Programs (IEPs)
• Ability to collaborate effectively with general education teachers, support staff, and families
• Classroom management skills tailored to special education settings
• Strong communication skills, both written and verbal
• Flexibility and adaptability to adjust to student needs and school routines

Key Responsibilities:

• Plan and execute differentiated instruction for students with a range of learning, behavioral, and developmental needs
• Develop, implement, and review IEPs in compliance with current regulations and best practices
• Regularly assess and document student progress, adjusting teaching methods as needed
• Work alongside colleagues to foster an inclusive educational environment
• Participate actively in staff meetings, IEP meetings, and professional development
• Maintain accurate records and uphold confidentiality at every stage
