Pipeline Services Inc. is seeking a new team member to be the heavy equipment
operator for one of our crews. Enjoy working in a small company environment.

Job Duties:
• Safely operate various sizes of excavators for the installation of underground
utilities (Water / Sewer / Drainage).
• Must be able to maintain proper grade of the pipe trench.
• Occasionally will be required to operate a skid steer loader.
• Perform daily maintenance and inspection of all equipment.
• Perform other duties on the jobsite when not operating equipment.
• Exercise safe working practices including use of proper PPE at all times.
• Reports directly to the Crew Foreman.
• Typical work hours are Monday – Friday from 7:00 a.m. – 3:30 p.m. with a 30-
minute lunch. Some weekend work may be necessary.
Requirements:
• Must have a minimum 3 years of experience operating an excavator.
• Must have experience operating around existing utilities.
• Must have experience benching and sloping trenches and working with trench
boxes.
• Understanding of elevations, slopes and basic mathematical equations.
• Must have knowledge of typical sewer, water and drainage material and
installation methods.
• Must have a Valid Driver’s License with clean driving record and experience
towing equipment / tool trailers.
• Must have consistent and reliable transportation to and from the jobsites. Most
job sites are located in and around the greater New Orleans area.
• Must have and wear proper PPE (Hard hat, Safety Vest and Work Boots).
• Ability to individually lift and carry weights up to 80 lbs.
• Must work and communicate well with other members of the crew.
• Must be able to understand and follow directions.
• Ability to work without conflict alongside other trades on jobsites.
• Ability to work outdoors in extreme/dirty conditions.
• Maintain a clean and safe work area.
• Must be able to read, write, speak and understand English.
• May provide guidance to and oversee work of other crew member
