TravelNurseSource is working with Cynet Health to find a qualified Telemetry RN in Harvey, Illinois, 60426!

Job Title: Registered Nurse Profession: Nursing Specialty: Telemetry Duration: 13 weeks Shift: Night Hours per Shift: 12 hours Experience: Minimum of 1 year License: State RN license required Certifications: BLS, ACLS Must-Have: Competence in rhythm strip interpretation Competence in initiating and maintaining cardiac drips such as dobutamine, amiodarone, and cardizem Description: Assess acute changes in patients and work in a fast-paced environment. Experience with chronic ventilation preferred. Use of EKG required. Must be able to interpret rhythm strips. First-timers are accepted for this position. Every other weekend is required. Floating to different units may be a requirement. Daily census is approximately 35 patients. Patient diagnoses include MI, arrhythmia, CVA, syncope, DKA, CHF, post pacemaker, stent, EP study, COVID, and ESRD. Special procedures include tracheostomy care and management. Telemetry and cardiac telemetry are integral parts of patient care. Expected nurse-patient ratio may go to 6:1 at times. CNA ratio is between 10-12. Interdisciplinary support includes physical therapy, respiratory services, interpretation services, phlebotomy, radiology, social services, rapid response teams, pharmacy, and transportation.
