Job Overview A law firm seeks a Strategic Transactions Associate in Washington, DC. The role involves supporting strategic transactions for clients in the Aerospace, Defense, and Next-Generation Energy sectors. The ideal candidate will have a transactional background with experience in drafting and negotiating complex contracts and agreements. Duties Conduct thorough legal research and analysis to support transaction preparation. Draft and review transactional documents with precision and clarity. Build and maintain strong client relationships through professional interaction. Collaborate with legal and business professionals to develop transaction strategies. Participate in negotiations and client meetings. Ensure compliance with legal standards and stay updated on legal precedents. Engage in professional development to enhance legal and leadership skills. Contribute to firm programs, civic organizations, and pro bono work. Requirements 3-6 years of relevant experience in an AmLaw 100 firm. Experience in the Aerospace, Defense, or Energy sectors is encouraged. Excellent written and verbal communication skills. Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities. Ability to work collaboratively and independently. Education: JD from an accredited law school. Minimum GPA of 3.5. Certifications: Admitted to the DC Bar or ability to gain admission. Skills: Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail. Good business and professional judgment. Interest in aerospace, defense, and/or energy sector work. Experience working with in-house counsel and technical specialists.
