We are seeking compassionate and dedicated individuals to join our team as Direct Support Professionals.
Queens / Midtown / Brooklyn / Uptown NYC/ Staten Island
3 month assignments
We have several openings for below shifts starting next week.
6am-2:15pm, 3-11PM, 7-3 pm, And 2pm -10:15pm , all shifts are open at each location listed below
- 2nd Ave / Sunday - Wednesday
- 2nd Ave / Friday, Saturday, Sunday and Monday
- Second Ave / Friday, Saturday, Sunday and Monday
- Midtown Third Ave / Friday,, Saturday , Sunday and Monday (Female Only)
- 89th Street / Friday, Saturday, Sunday and Monday (Female Only)
- 265 Cherry street / Friday, Saturday, Sunday and Monday
- Uptown Amsterdam Sunday, / Monday , Tuesday, Wednesday
- Uptown Amsterdam Ave Friday, Saturday, Sunday, Monday
- Queens - Ozone Park, Queens
As a Direct Support Professional, you will provide essential care and support to individuals in need. Your role will involve assisting with daily activities, medication administration, and ensuring the well-being and safety of our residents.
Duties:
- Provide direct care and support to individuals in accordance with their personalized care plans
- Assist with activities of daily living, including bathing, dressing, grooming, and toileting
- Administer medications as prescribed and monitor residents for any adverse reactions
- Perform first aid and basic medical procedures when necessary
- Respect and uphold the rights of residents, ensuring their dignity and privacy at all times
- Provide emotional support and companionship to residents
- Assist with meal preparation and feeding as needed
- Maintain a clean and safe environment for residents
- Collaborate with healthcare professionals, such as nurses or hospice care providers, to ensure comprehensive care
Requirements:
- Previous experience in patient care or senior care is preferred
- Knowledge of medication administration and first aid procedures
- Compassionate and patient demeanor when working with individuals in need
- Valid driver's license for transportation purposes
- Ability to follow instructions and work effectively as part of a team
- Strong communication skills to interact with residents, families, and healthcare professionals
