Private Credit Associate

A leading alternative investment manager with ~$15B AUM is seeking a Private Credit Associate to join its Direct Lending team in New York, NY. With a broad mandate across sponsor and non-sponsored transactions, the platform provides flexible capital solutions to lower middle‑market companies across industries while delivering attractive risk-adjusted returns for investors. This role offers the opportunity to work within a well-established platform while maintaining exposure to a lean deal team structure. The position provides meaningful responsibility across the full investment lifecycle, direct interaction with senior leadership, and the ability to contribute to investment outcomes across a diverse portfolio of transactions. The Associate will take on a broad set of responsibilities spanning underwriting, execution, and portfolio management. Key Responsibilities: Underwrite and execute new direct lending investments across a variety of industries and transaction types Build detailed LBO and cash flow models to assess credit risk and support structuring decisions Lead diligence processes, including financial analysis, industry research, and management evaluation Prepare investment memoranda and present findings to the investment committee Support deal execution from initial screening through closing Review and help negotiate term sheets and credit documentation alongside internal stakeholders and external counsel Monitor portfolio investments and support ongoing portfolio management initiatives Qualifications: 2-5+ years of relevant experience in investment banking, private credit, or principal investing Strong financial modeling and analytical skill set, with experience evaluating credit investments Clear, concise investment writing and communication abilities Demonstrated interest in direct lending and middle-market investing Ability to operate effectively in a fast-paced environment with meaningful deal exposure #J-18808-Ljbffr Selby Jennings
