Grupo Cox is an operating company in the energy and water sector, with an integrated business model encompassing the entire water and energy value chains. Its structure comprises: (i) Asset Co: Managing Water and Energy Projects and Concessions; and (ii) Service Co: Benefiting from our Premium EPC (Engineering, Procurement and Construction) and O&M Capabilities. 

The Vice President of Finance provides strategic financial leadership for the Company's U.S. operations across both its Engineering, Procurement, and Construction (EPC) business and its asset ownership portfolio. This executive is responsible for all accounting, financial planning and analysis, treasury, financial reporting, internal controls, project finance, and asset finance functions while supporting the Company's long-term growth strategy.

Working closely with the Chief Executive Officer and executive leadership, the Vice President of Finance develops financial strategies that support project execution, operational excellence, investment decisions, and the lifecycle management of operating assets. The role serves as a key business partner across engineering, construction, operations, commercial, and executive leadership to ensure sound financial management and sustainable business performance.

Executive Financial Leadership

• Provide strategic financial leadership to support the Company's short- and long-term business objectives. 
• Partner with the executive leadership team in developing corporate strategy and financial initiatives. 
• Serve as a trusted advisor to executive leadership on financial performance, business risks, and investment opportunities. 
• Lead and develop the U.S. finance organization while fostering a culture of accountability, collaboration, and continuous improvement. 

Accounting & Financial Reporting

• Direct all accounting operations, including general ledger, accounts payable, accounts receivable, payroll, fixed assets, and financial reporting. 
• Ensure timely and accurate monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements. 
• Maintain compliance with applicable GAAP, IFRS, tax regulations, and corporate reporting requirements. 
• Oversee year-end audits and coordinate with external auditors and tax advisors. 

Financial Planning & Analysis

• Lead the annual budgeting process and long-range financial planning. 
• Oversee rolling forecasts, scenario planning, and financial modeling. 
• Develop executive financial dashboards and key performance indicators. 
• Present financial results, trends, forecasts, and recommendations to executive leadership. 

Treasury & Cash Management

• Oversee cash flow planning, liquidity management, and working capital optimization. 
• Manage banking relationships, financing activities, and treasury operations. 
• Monitor borrowing capacity, credit facilities, and capital requirements. 
• Develop strategies to improve cash conversion and financial flexibility. 

Project Finance & Operational Support

• Partner with Operations and Project Management to monitor project financial performance. 
• Oversee project budgeting, forecasting, cost controls, earned revenue recognition, and profitability analysis. 
• Ensure accurate financial reporting throughout the EPC project lifecycle. 
• Support bid reviews, commercial evaluations, and financial risk assessments for new opportunities. 

Internal Controls & Risk Management

• Establish and maintain strong internal controls across all finance functions. 
• Ensure compliance with corporate governance requirements and regulatory standards. 
• Evaluate financial risks and implement mitigation strategies. 
• Lead financial policies, procedures, and continuous process improvements. 

Strategic Business Partnership

• Provide financial guidance to department leaders regarding budgets, staffing, investments, and operational decisions. 
• Analyze business opportunities, acquisitions, investments, and strategic initiatives. 
• Develop financial analyses supporting executive decision-making. 
• Translate complex financial information into actionable business recommendations. 

Asset Finance & Investment Management

• Lead financial oversight of the Company's operating asset portfolio, including budgeting, forecasting, and long-term financial planning. 
• Evaluate asset performance through financial and operational metrics, identifying opportunities to maximize returns and improve efficiency. 
• Support investment analysis, acquisitions, divestitures, financing activities, and capital allocation decisions. 
• Develop lifecycle financial models for infrastructure and energy assets. 
• Partner with Operations to optimize asset profitability, operating costs, and long-term maintenance planning. 
• Monitor asset cash flows, debt obligations, and return on invested capital. 
• Support financing activities for new developments and existing assets. 
• Provide financial analysis supporting strategic investments and growth initiatives.

Systems & Process Improvement

• Lead implementation and optimization of ERP systems, reporting tools, and financial technologies. 
• Improve automation and reporting efficiency across finance. 
• Champion data integrity, reporting accuracy, and financial analytics. 

Leadership

• Develop, mentor, and evaluate finance personnel. 
• Establish departmental objectives and performance expectations. 
• Promote cross-functional collaboration across Finance, Operations, HR, Procurement, and Executive Leadership.

Qualifications

Licenses, Certifications, and/or Registrations

·         CPA, CFA, or MBA strongly preferred.

Education, Experience, and/or Training

·         Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, or related field. 

·         Minimum 12-15 years of experience in FP&A, financial analysis, or corporate finance. 

·         Minimum 5 years leading finance organizations. 

·         Experience in EPC, construction, energy, or project-based environments strongly preferred. 

·         Advanced experience with financial modeling, forecasting, and scenario analysis.

·         Experience supporting rapidly growing organizations preferred.

·         Experience presenting financial information to executive leadership, investors, lenders, and board members.

Special Requirements

Tools / Equipment

·         Computer and standard office equipment.

Software

·         Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel required. 

·         Experience with accounting, financial ERP, and planning tools, and BI tools (e.g., Quickbooks, SAP, Power BI, Tableau) preferred. 

·         Familiarity with project-based financial systems and reporting tools.

·         Majority of work is performed within an office environment.

Work Schedule

·         Regular 40-hour work week, normal duty hours as assigned.
