Role Details
  • Conduct thorough evaluations across all ages - pediatric, adult, and geriatric - utilizing various assessment methods and observational strategies.
  • Design individualized treatment plans addressing immediate objectives while keeping long-term communication, cognitive, and swallowing needs in focus.
  • Deliver personalized speech therapy interventions that cover language, fluency, voice, and swallowing skillsets.
  • Work collaboratively with physical and occupational therapists, nursing staff, physicians, caregivers, and families to devise seamless care plans.
  • Provide educational resources to patients and their families to support therapy progress beyond clinical encounters.
  • Occasionally conduct inpatient evaluations and interventions to ensure comprehensive patient care throughout their healing journey.
  • Keep meticulous and timely records that adhere to state, federal, and organizational requirements.
  • Engage in continuing education opportunities and collaborate with peers to stay updated on clinical advancements.
Educational Requirements
  • Master's degree in Speech-Language Pathology from an accredited institution.
  • Completion of a supervised Clinical Fellowship Year (CFY) if you haven't obtained ASHA certification.
Licensing & Credentials
  • Current state licensing as a Speech Language Pathologist .
  • Preferred: Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC-SLP) from ASHA.
  • Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required within the first 30 days of onboarding.
Key Skills
  • Strong command of evidence-based treatment practices for a wide age range, with a deep understanding of both developmental and acquired communication disorders.
  • Exceptional interpersonal communication skills to engage effectively with patients, families, and an interdisciplinary care team.
  • Ability to tailor therapy strategies to respect diverse cultural and linguistic backgrounds.
