Role Details
- Conduct thorough evaluations across all ages - pediatric, adult, and geriatric - utilizing various assessment methods and observational strategies.
- Design individualized treatment plans addressing immediate objectives while keeping long-term communication, cognitive, and swallowing needs in focus.
- Deliver personalized speech therapy interventions that cover language, fluency, voice, and swallowing skillsets.
- Work collaboratively with physical and occupational therapists, nursing staff, physicians, caregivers, and families to devise seamless care plans.
- Provide educational resources to patients and their families to support therapy progress beyond clinical encounters.
- Occasionally conduct inpatient evaluations and interventions to ensure comprehensive patient care throughout their healing journey.
- Keep meticulous and timely records that adhere to state, federal, and organizational requirements.
- Engage in continuing education opportunities and collaborate with peers to stay updated on clinical advancements.
- Master's degree in Speech-Language Pathology from an accredited institution.
- Completion of a supervised Clinical Fellowship Year (CFY) if you haven't obtained ASHA certification.
- Current state licensing as a Speech Language Pathologist .
- Preferred: Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC-SLP) from ASHA.
- Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required within the first 30 days of onboarding.
- Strong command of evidence-based treatment practices for a wide age range, with a deep understanding of both developmental and acquired communication disorders.
- Exceptional interpersonal communication skills to engage effectively with patients, families, and an interdisciplinary care team.
- Ability to tailor therapy strategies to respect diverse cultural and linguistic backgrounds.
- Sound clinical judgment paired with adept problem-solving skills.
- Familiarity with electronic medical record systems and documentation standards.
