What Your Day Will Entail

• Conduct thorough patient evaluations, manage necessary diagnostic procedures, and design personalized health plans
• Diagnose and treat acute, episodic, or persistent health issues, working alongside physicians or independently, depending on credentialing
• Empower patients and families through education on prevention, health maintenance, and effective management of conditions
• Prescribe necessary medications and treatments as per your practice guidelines
• Engage in patient follow-ups and chronic disease management
• Collaborate with an interdisciplinary team to ensure patient-centered, comprehensive care
• Maintain meticulous records within electronic medical systems (EMR)

Educational Prerequisites

• Master of Science in Nursing (MSN) or a Doctor of Nursing Practice (DNP)
• Completion of an accredited Nurse Practitioner educational program

Essential Certifications

• Current licensure as a Nurse Practitioner in Texas
• National certification as a Family Nurse Practitioner (FNP-C, AANP or ANCC) or similar
• Basic Life Support (BLS) and Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) certifications, or the ability to acquire them within 90 days
