The role serves as a key resource for employees and leaders, ensuring compliance with university policies and all federal, state, and local employment laws. The HR Generalist requires strong interpersonal and problem‑solving skills to address workplace concerns, facilitate conflict resolution, and promote a culture of inclusivity and fairness. This position is time‑sensitive, requiring accurate diagnosis of organizational issues and implementation of action plans. It supports the performance management system process, including goal setting and annual evaluations, and aids professional development for contributors and leaders. Reporting to the Director of Employee Relations & Human Resources Business Partner, the role provides cross‑functional support to meet departmental goals. The incumbent must possess well‑developed verbal and written communication skills for presenting sensitive information to faculty, staff, and students.
