Civil Litigation AttorneyA well-established Houston law firm is seeking a Civil Litigation Attorney with at least two years of experience to join its growing team. The ideal candidate will have a combination of civil litigation and insurance defense experience, along with exceptional legal research and writing skills.Position: Civil Litigation AttorneyLocation: Greenway PlazaSalary: $110,000–$160,000, plus exceptional bonuses and benefitsResponsibilities:Manage a civil litigation caseload involving architectural and engineering design and product negligence mattersDraft pleadings, motions, briefs, discovery responses, and other legal documentsConduct legal research and provide clear, well-supported analysisHandle written discovery, document review, depositions, mediations, and hearingsDevelop case strategies and evaluate liability, damages, and potential exposureCommunicate effectively with clients, opposing counsel, experts, and other involved partiesAssist with trial preparation and participate in trials as neededMaintain accurate case files, deadlines, and billing recordsQualifications:Juris Doctor degree from an accredited law schoolActive and in good standing with the State Bar of TexasMinimum of 2+ years of civil litigation experienceCombination of insurance defense and general civil litigation experience preferredExceptional legal research, writing, and analytical skills requiredExperience with architectural, engineering, construction, product liability, or professional negligence matters is a plusStrong organizational skills and ability to manage multiple cases and deadlinesExcellent written and verbal communication skillsAbility to work independently while contributing to a collaborative legal team
