Modine is a global company headquartered in Racine, Wisconsin (U.S.), with operations in North America, South America, Europe, and Asia.Position DescriptionWe are seeking a Production Supervisor to oversee daily operations in our E-coating facility on second shift. This role is ideal for a hands-on leader with a strong technical foundation and a passion for manufacturing excellence, continuous improvement, and team development. The Production Supervisor will be responsible for ensuring safe, efficient, and high-quality production, working closely with cross-functional teams to optimize processes and drive operational success.Key ResponsibilitiesProduction Leadership & Team Management: Supervise, train, and support a team of production employees fostering a culture of safety, quality, and accountability.Monitor and manage daily production schedules to meet output targets, deadlines, and customer requirements.Ensure proper staffing levels and coordinate workloads for optimal efficiency.Operational Efficiency & Process Improvement: Implement and sustain lean manufacturing principles, 5S, and continuous improvement initiatives to enhance productivity and reduce waste.Identify and troubleshoot production bottlenecks, working closely with engineering and maintenance teams to resolve issues.Monitor and analyze key performance indicators (KPI's), driving actions to improve throughput, efficiency, and cost-effectiveness.Quality Assurance & Compliance: Ensure adherence to quality standards, specifications, and work instructions for coatings production.Collaborate with quality control teams to address defects, implement corrective actions, and enhance overall product quality.Maintain strict compliance with safety regulations, environmental standards, and company policies.Collaboration & Communication: Work closely with engineering, supply chain, and maintenance teams to ensure smooth operations and seamless coordination.Support new product introductions and product changes, ensuring proper training and implementation on the production floor.Communicate effectively with leadership and staff, providing regular updates on production status and challenges.Required Education & QualificationsBachelor's degree in Engineering (Manufacturing, Industrial, Mechanical, Electrical) or related field preferred, or equivalent experience in manufacturing leadership. 2+ years of experience in manufacturing or production environment. Strong team management, coaching, and problem-solving skills, with a hands-on approach to leadership. Experience with lean manufacturing, Six Sigma, or other process improvement methodologies preferred. Excellent interpersonal and organizational skills, with the ability to work cross-functionally.
