Senior Director, US Market Access Strategy, Povetacicept (POVE)

Vertex Pharmaceuticals seeks an experienced Senior Director to lead US market access strategy for povetacicept in IgA Nephropathy and future indications. The role involves developing pricing, contracting, and payer strategies while managing a team of 3-4 direct reports and ensuring launch readiness across functional areas.

Responsibilities

• Lead POVE pricing and contracting strategies across current and future indications
• Oversee market access launch readiness teams to ensure alignment and tactical readiness for FDA approval
• Develop and articulate payer value propositions in partnership with health economics teams
• Manage team of 3-4 direct reports; develop KPIs and metrics to assess initiative impact
• Create payer-specific market access strategies and promotional resources supporting field teams

Requirements

• 12+ years of experience in pharmaceutical/biotech commercialization and access strategy
• 5+ years of supervisory/team leadership experience
• Deep expertise in payer contracting, pricing strategy, and US healthcare system
• Launch experience required; payer contracting experience preferred
• Bachelor's degree in relevant field; advanced degree preferred
• Knowledge of pharmacy and medical benefit design, specialty pharmacy distribution
• Strong cross-functional leadership and stakeholder communication abilities

Compensation: $232,000 - $348,000 base
