Now it’s your turn.Learn more about us at You Will Make an ImpactThe Learning Center Coordinator serves as an Administrator in charge of school in the absence of the Principal or Assistant Principal. This position collaborates with all staff to ensure effective design, delivery, and maintenance of school programs. This position reports to the Principal or designee.RESPONSIBILITIES/DUTIES: This list is illustrative only and is not intended to be a comprehensive list of tasks performed by this classification. Reasonable accommodations may be made to enable individuals with disabilities to perform the essential functions of the job.Support leadership of the staff in assessing learning center needs and determining objectives as the basis for developing long- and short-range plans for the school or assignmentPlan, coordinate, and evaluate the on-site program of student support and enrichment servicesAssist in supervision of all assigned personnel and help identify, provide, assign and coordinate in-service growth opportunities for personnel within the schoolCarry out a program of communications and community relations and will collaborate with operations personnel to ensure safety and success of pupils and school programsAssist with adherence to federal and state laws and requirements and district policiesCollaborates in the administration of state mandated testing. Supervises the administration of assessmentsServe on committees and perform other duties as assignedPlans and develops after-school curriculum to meet individual needs of participating students through collaboration with principal and classroom teachersReviews individualized student needs and progress. Provides support with supervision and leadership to all center staff, including volunteers (i.e. community and YMCA) for the development and coordination of all programsCoordinates the use of volunteers for various center activitiesAttends Parent/Teacher Conferences on a needed basisSchedules and coordinates training of all Personnel, tutors, and volunteers with the Assistant PrincipalUtilizes a variety of means to publicize the activities and benefits of the center to the school and local communityAttends informational and networking meetings with the other community stakeholdersCoordinates data collection and record keeping for evaluation and ongoing planning purposesMonitor to the company’s Compliance Program: procedures, Rules, and Regulations; collaborate with Student Services PersonnelSubstitute teaching when necessary; maintain a student roster as neededMay carry a minimum of ten (10) students in a caseloadProvides ongoing communication about the activities of the center to the school's Principal, Staff and studentsCo-Coordinate WASC and SPSA processes with the APCo-Coordinate the SST (Student success Team) Process with the Lead TeacherAssists in facilitating ‘At-Risk’ formal interventions (ADA Section 504, IDEA, etc.) and works with Special Education and ELLPerform administrative duties, responsibilities and activities that may be assigned or changed from time to timeSUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES: Manage, coordinate, supervise, coach and direct the hiring, training, or performance development of team members and oversee their daily activitiesKNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, ABILITIES:Knowledge of and commitment to contemporary management and instructional techniquesKnowledge of curriculum, including highly developed competencies in at least one content areaOrganizational and planning skillsAbility to collaborate and work effectively with various levels of school employees and the publicPresentation and public speaking skillsData analysisMINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:Experience working in a school settingPrior teaching experience or school counseling experience requiredBachelor’s Degree requiredValid Clear California Teaching Credential with English Language Authorization OR California Pupil Personnel Services credential requiredKnowledge and/or experience in project management, program development, organizing, prioritizing, coordinating, implementing, and managing multiple programs, projects, tasks and building teams preferredProficient in student information systems (SIS) and educational applicationsSkilled in MS Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook, Teams)Ability to travel in performance of job duties is requiredAbility to lift, carry, push, pull objects weighing up to 10 pounds (almost all office jobs)PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:Mental Demands: high workflow management, high project coordination, high people engagement.Finger Dexterity: using primarily just the fingers to make small movements such as typing, picking up small objects, or pinching fingers together.Talking: especially where one must convey detailed or important instructions or ideas accurately, loudly, or quickly.Average Hearing: able to hear average or normal conversations and receive ordinary information.Average Visual Abilities: ordinary acuity necessary to prepare or inspect documents or operate machinery.Frequent multi-tasking, changing of task priorities, repetitious exacting work required.Working in a noisy, distracting environment with frequent deadline pressures. #J-18808-Ljbffr Lifelong Learning
