What You'll Do

• Fit and weld structural steel components used in electrical poles, substations, and utility structures
• Perform MIG, Flux Core, and Metal Core welding to quality and safety standards
• Read blueprints, weld symbols, drawings, and work orders to determine proper fit-up and weld requirements
• Lay out, align, and assemble structural components prior to welding
• Complete fillet welds and structural welds using Metal Core wire
• Operate overhead cranes to safely move steel poles, shafts, and large fabricated assemblies
• Measure, stage, and organize materials required for production
• Assist with fabrication, grinding, and basic TIG welding as needed
• Follow all safety, quality, and production standards

What We're Looking For

• Experience with MIG, Flux Core, or Metal Core welding
• Ability to read blueprints and weld symbols
• Structural steel welding or fabrication experience preferred
• Experience fitting components before welding
• Comfortable working with large steel assemblies and overhead cranes
• Basic math and measurement skills
• Ability to pass weld testing and pre-employment assessments

Work Environment

This position is located in a structural steel manufacturing facility producing utility poles and related infrastructure products. Work is performed in a fabrication shop environment with welding equipment, overhead cranes, large steel components, and production machinery. Proper PPE is required, and safety is a top priority. This is a hands-on, active role that involves standing, lifting, welding, fitting, and working with heavy materials throughout the shift.

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Tulsa, OK.

The pay range for this position is $26.24 - $29.35/hr.

Individual compensation offered for this position within this range will depend on many factors, including qualifications, skills, relevant experience, job knowledge, geographic location, internal equity, and other pertinent job-related factors.
