Merck is seeking an intern for its US Controllers Organization within the Finance Division for a 12-week program. The role involves financial analysis, accounting operations, and supporting various accounting functions across the company's US entities.
Responsibilities
- Prepare analytical support for balance sheet accounts and financial statements for Corporate Accounting
- Process miscellaneous receipts through journal entry preparation while maintaining control compliance
- Extract and analyze financial data from multiple systems for government reporting requirements
- Identify and recommend process improvements to enhance finance function efficiency
- Assist with ad-hoc accounting requests and support Global Controllers Organization functions
Requirements
- Current student or recent graduate pursuing accounting or finance degree
- Proficiency with financial systems and data analysis tools
- Strong attention to detail and organizational skills
- Understanding of accounting principles and internal controls
- Ability to communicate financial information clearly
