Billing Specialist

Salary Range: $55,000–$65,000 (based on experience) Overview A well‑established law firm is seeking an experienced Legal Billing & Accounting Specialist to support daily financial and administrative operations. This role is billing‑focused, with additional responsibility for trust accounting, light bookkeeping, spreadsheet management, new client matter setup, and conflict checks. This is a 100% in‑office role offering stability and long‑term growth! Responsibilities Manage legal billing, including invoice creation, edits, approvals, and client distribution Support trust account balancing and reconciliation in compliance with legal requirements Perform light bookkeeping, including payment tracking and financial data maintenance Create and maintain Excel spreadsheets for billing, trust, and accounting reports Open new client matters and conduct conflict checks Assist attorneys and administration with billing inquiries and reporting Ensure billing accuracy, data integrity, and confidentiality Support process improvements in billing and accounting workflows Qualifications 2–5+ years of legal billing experience required Experience with trust accounting, reconciliation, and compliance preferred Strong proficiency in Excel and spreadsheets Familiarity with legal billing systems and accounting workflows High attention to detail and strong organizational skills Ability to work independently in a fast‑paced legal environment CPA not required #J-18808-Ljbffr AppleOne Employment Services
