Truck Mechanic

Job Title We, at Pacific Rail Services, are looking for an experienced Diesel Mechanic for a full‑time permanent position in our Bergen, NJ rail terminal. Work Location CSX North Bergen Terminal 6201 Tonnelle Ave North Bergen, NJ 07047 Compensation Hourly pay with yearly income potential of $45,000‑$60,000 per year (includes overtime). Pay rate is commensurate with experience. Shift Day shift, 24/7 call‑out availability. Candidates Minimum of 2‑year experience in the mechanical field and preventive‑maintenance minded. Must have own tools (yearly tool allowance provided). Experience and knowledge with Air, Electrical, Hydraulic and Diesel systems and components. Valid driver's license required. Primary Responsibilities Diagnose and repair forklifts, company vehicles, and hostler fleet. Maintain Hostler Fleet. Assist in other areas as needed by managers. General Employment Requirements Valid Driver's License. Advanced knowledge of railroad industry from a vocational education institute, apprenticeship, on‑the‑job training and/or similar work experience. Must be able to pass a 7‑year background check. Any felonies in the last 7 years or jail time in the last 5 years will disqualify applicants. Must be able to pass a hair‑follicle drug test. Must be able to pass an IPCS Physical Capabilities Test.
