General maintenance and repair: Regularly inspect buildings, grounds, and equipment to identify potential issues. Repairs: Fix or replace faulty electrical switches, outlets, and circuit breakers, as well as plumbing fixtures, and other building components. Preventive maintenance: Perform routine maintenance to prevent future problems and ensure equipment runs smoothly. Record keeping: Maintain detailed records of work performed, including materials used and time spent. Specialized tasks: HVAC: Perform minor repairs and maintenance on heating, ventilation, and air conditioning systems, sometimes coordinating with specialized tradespeople for major repairs. Plumbing: Handle minor plumbing issues such as leaks, clogs, and fixture replacements. Electrical: Address minor electrical repairs, such as replacing light bulbs or fuses. Carpentry: Perform basic carpentry work like repairing doors, windows, and furniture. Painting: Perform touch-up painting and minor repairs to building surfaces. Other duties: Cleaning: Maintain cleanliness of buildings and grounds, including dusting, mopping, and trash removal. Inventory: Maintain inventory of maintenance supplies and equipment. Safety: Adhere to all safety regulations and procedures. Communication: Communicate with supervisors, colleagues, and clients regarding maintenance needs and work progress. Problem solving: Diagnose problems and determine the best way to correct them.
