Exercise Trainer PRN

Job Description

Our Inova Well program is looking to add an Exercise Trainer to our excellent team. This is a PRN, as needed, opportunity. Ideal availability Mon & Thurs afternoons between 4:30-7:30. The Exercise Instructor will program and teach group fitness classes, small group trainings, and one-on-one trainings with clients. This role will incorporate various necessities to teach/train which may include but are not limited to: creating appropriate playlists, creating workout templates with regressions and progressions.

Exercise Trainer Job Responsibilities:

• Creates and teaches workouts for group fitness classes.
• Creates and coaches workouts for small group and one-on-one training clients.
• Helps exercise specialist and program manager with programming.
• Performs requested functions such as: cleaning, reorganizing, and moving fitness equipment.
• Provides data and feedback on classes and trainings: class attendance vs sign-ups, statistics on training programs for individuals' growth.
• Supports additional duties or projects as planned.

Minimum Qualifications:

• Education: Bachelor's Degree in Exercise Science or related degree
• Experience: At least 3 years as a Fitness/Personal Trainer, Customer Service, Group Fitness Instructor/Coach
• Certifications: Personal Trainer Certification (from approved accredited body) OR Group Fitness Certification (from approved accredited body) OR Certified Strength and Conditioning Specialist Certification (from approved accredited body) or Equivalent. Equivalent is defined as: 10+ Years Instructing at Credible Facilities (gyms and fitness studios with licenses), and a Specialized Certification from a credited Fitness Studios (example - Orange theory or F45).
