Line Cook - Cold Side/Salad Bar

Job Description: A Line Cook working Cold Side/Salad Bar is preparing menu items and setting up necessary supplies. The cook ensures that everything is set up and prepped correctly before service starts, using specialized kitchen tools to prepare essential ingredients and create salads, appetizers, and desserts for the restaurant. Roles and Responsibilities Set up and stock stations with all necessary supplies Prepare food for service (e.g., chopping vegetables and fruits, cutting garnishes, making components for dishes, preparing sauces and dressings) Prepare menu items according to Standardized Recipe Guide and in cooperation with the rest of the kitchen staff Answer, report, and follow executive or sous chef’s instructions Clean up station and take care of leftover food Stock inventory appropriately Ensure that food comes out simultaneously, in high quality and in a timely fashion Comply with federal, state, and local health and safety regulations Maintain a positive and professional approach with coworkers and customers Requirements and Skills Cooking experience a plus, but we are willing to train the right candidate An understanding of various cooking methods, ingredients, equipment, and procedures Accuracy and speed in executing assigned tasks Familiar with industry’s best practices We Ask You To Honor and encourage others to follow the visions and values of the restaurant Be able to multitask quickly, yet thoroughly Communicate effectively in English or Spanish Be at least 16 years of age Be willing and able to work a flexible schedule Be able to lift and carry 10-55 lbs.
