Title: Direct Support Professional (1st Shift) 

Compensation: $17 – $17.50/hour

About the Role:
First Step Healthcare is hiring reliable, compassionate Direct Support Professionals to support adults with developmental disabilities in the Westerville area. We are currently seeking staff for 1st shift coverage , as well as PRN (as-needed) team members . These roles do not include guaranteed weekly hours and are ideal for flexible availability.

Responsibilities:
(Day Shift) Duties:

Assist with morning routines, hygiene, and meals

Support daily activities, appointments, and community outings

Provide companionship and promote independence

Assist with light housekeeping and maintaining a clean environment

Follow the individual’s care plan and daily schedule

Administer medications as assigned, if certified

Complete accurate daily documentation, including proper medication documentation on the MAR

Maintain a safe, respectful, and structured environment

Additional Requirements:

Requirements:

• DODD training (or willing to complete immediately)

• CPR/First Aid certification
  
  
• BCI/FBI background check
  
  
• Medication Administration required
  
  
  • Or must be willing to take the 2-day Med Admin class immediately
