Associate Attorney (Ft. Lauderdale)

Job Description
Galloway Johnson Tompkins Burr & Smith is seeking an experienced litigation attorney to join our Ft. Lauderdale office handling a sophisticated civil defense practice with a significant emphasis on construction defect and construction litigation matters.
\nThis role is ideal for an attorney who can step into an active, high exposure practice and independently manage cases from inception through resolution while working closely with clients, carriers, contractors, developers, property managers, and business owners throughout South Florida.
\n \nThe practice includes a mix of:
\n• Construction defect and construction litigation
\n• Premises liability and personal injury defense
\n• Insurance defense and coverage matters
\n• Condominium and HOA disputes
\n• Auto, trucking, and transportation matters
\n• Commercial and property related disputes
\n \nWe are looking for attorneys with:
\n• 5+ years of litigation experience preferred
\n• Meaningful experience handling construction defect or construction related litigation
\n• Experience taking and defending depositions
\n• Strong motion practice and case evaluation skills
\n• Ability to manage files independently and communicate directly with clients and carriers
\n• Courtroom confidence and practical litigation judgment
\n• Florida Bar license in good standing
