What You'll Do
- Provide clinical nursing care for patients on the Med/Surg and transplant units
- Monitor patient status and interpret cardiac and medical data
- Administer medications, including cardiac drips and wound care as directed
- Support patient stabilization and recovery in a high-acuity environment
- Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams, including RT, OT, PT, and hospitalists
- Chart patient progress using Meditech Expanse EMR system
- Float to other units within scope of practice as needed
What You Need
Required:- Valid RN license in Louisiana
- BLS, ACLS, NIHSS certifications
- Minimum 1 year of recent acute care experience (2+ years for first-time travelers)
- Ability to pass an EKG competency exam
- Experience with cardiac monitoring and wound care
- Strong clinical assessment skills
- Ability to adapt to fast-paced environments
