About the Position

Job Title: Registered Nurse Profession: Nursing Specialty: Mother-Baby / Couplet Care / Post Partum Duration: 13 weeks Shift: Night Hours per Shift: 12 Experience: Minimum 2 years of postpartum experience License: Valid nursing license required Certifications: BLS, IV certification Must-Have: Minimum 2 years of postpartum experience IV start skills and labor & delivery experience EPIC experience Description: This position requires floating to units with similar acuity as needed. The role involves caring for postpartum patients recovering from vaginal or cesarean section deliveries. The nurse will provide family-centered care and support to mothers and infants. Daily responsibilities include patient assessments and education for new parents. Nurses will administer medications, manage IVs, and perform various nursing procedures. There will be interdisciplinary support available, including teams for IV assistance and pharmacy services. Candidates should be comfortable managing a variety of diagnoses, including healthy newborns and those with specific needs. Telemetry interpretation is required, and nurses are expected to pass an EKG exam before commencing the role. Candidates must be proactive in complying with credentialing processes.
