Human Resources Expert Responsibilities Greet guests with friendliness and warmth within specified timeframes (10 feet and 4 feet) Assist guests in locating items and resolve issues to ensure a smooth experience Conclude each transaction with a sincere thank‑you Support team efforts, assist peers in other areas, and maintain a positive and respectful attitude Adjust to changing business and guest needs to provide an easy and inspiring guest experience Collaborate with the HR leader to anticipate and address talent and staffing needs for each area of the business Lead focused recruiting efforts to help store leaders hire qualified candidates Provide training support for team members and leaders, advocating continuous learning Serve as an expert resource for scheduling systems and pay practices Be approachable and available to listen to team members and collaborate with appropriate leaders to take action as needed Deliver on all Human Resources processes and programs to maximize team member engagement and minimize business disruption Support compliance with company policies that mitigate risk to the team member experience Demonstrate a culture of ethical conduct, safety, and compliance, working in a safe manner at all times Perform other duties as assigned based on business needs Qualifications Enjoy interacting and helping others, including guests and team members Thrives in a fast‑moving, highly active, and physically demanding role that requires teamwork, flexibility, and creative problem‑solving Open to a flexible work schedule with varying hours, days, or shifts, including nights, weekends, holidays, and peak shopping times Welcoming and helpful attitude toward all guests and team members Ability to communicate on multiple frequency devices and operate handheld scanners and other technology equipment as directed Effective communication skills and ability to work both independently and with a team Resolve guest questions quickly on the spot Attention to detail and capability to follow multi‑step processes Remain focused and composed in a fast‑paced environment while accomplishing multiple tasks within established timeframes Accurately handle cash register operations as needed Physical Requirements Frequent lifting or moving merchandise up to 10 pounds and occasionally up to 44 pounds without assistance Exposure to varying temperatures, humidity, and other elements while performing duties such as Drive‑Up or carry‑out Remain mobile throughout the scheduled shift, which may vary in length Benefits Target offers eligible team members comprehensive health benefits and programs, including medical, vision, dental, life insurance, and more.
