Technical Account Manager
Privately owned international specialty chemical manufacturer firm that values people, process and performance. They’ve been in business for decades and have grown tremendously over the last few years. They have a very strong presence coast to coast and internationally as well. The owners are committed to environmental responsibility, innovation and growing the company for many years to come.
Due to the aforementioned growth of the firm, they are in need of an experienced technical account manager to develop, grow and maintain business in the continental United States. This person will be calling on a variety of personnel, including upper-level decision-makers at multinational firms. This person will be responsible for the marketing and sale of specialty chemicals to existing and prospective accounts. Owns and sets account plans/goals/priorities for customers, both short and long-term. Manages and owns the overall account relationship to customers and is the “face” of the firm to the customer. The successful candidate will be required to work in the firm's office near Louisville Kentucky three days a week when not on travel. About 40% overnight travel is required.
Four or more years of specialty chemical sales experience is required. A four-year bachelor's degree is required (chemical engineering or chemistry degrees are highly preferred). Company greatly values intellectual curiosity. Strong interpersonal skills along with excellent written and verbal communication skills are required.
