AI Presales & Delivery Lead

This position is listed on behalf of a partner company, who manages all applications and next steps. Our partner is looking for an AI Presales & Delivery Lead based in the United States.

This is a hands-on leadership opportunity focused on scaling AI solutions across North American and international markets.
You will combine technical expertise, customer-facing leadership, and commercial acumen to drive AI opportunities from discovery through delivery.
The role sits at the intersection of sales, solution architecture, delivery, and client success, with ownership across the AI portfolio and its P&L performance.
You will shape AI and product-build engagements, translate business challenges into compelling technical solutions, and demonstrate measurable business value.
The position also provides significant influence over delivery processes, profitability, conversion rates, and cross-business growth opportunities.
You will collaborate with sales leaders, client partners, project managers, architects, data engineers, and product specialists across distributed teams.

Accountabilities

• AI presales leadership: Serve as the primary presales subject-matter expert for AI and product-build engagements, guiding prospect conversations, discovery, solutioning, and opportunity development.
• Discovery and solution design: Lead customer discovery and scoping sessions, translate business challenges into technical solutions, develop cost models, and align estimates with delivery and P&L leadership.
• Proposals and commercial development: Develop Statements of Work, proposals, estimates, and related commercial materials while maintaining appropriate margin and delivery discipline.
• Technical coordination: Prepare and coordinate technical specialists, including AI and software architects, data engineers, and product leaders, for customer-facing engagements.
• Delivery leadership: Lead project kickoffs and serve as delivery lead for AI assessments, proofs of concept, and product-oriented engagements, ensuring clear objectives, scope, success criteria, and high-quality deliverables.
• Project execution: Oversee AI engagements from inception through delivery, monitoring timelines, budgets, quality, risks, dependencies, and customer expectations.
• Client partnership: Build trusted relationships with customers and sales stakeholders, communicate business value and ROI effectively, and proactively resolve delivery challenges.
• Delivery excellence: Promote consistent delivery practices, strong communication, solution-oriented problem solving, and a high-quality client experience across AI engagements.
• Portfolio growth: Identify opportunities to improve presales conversion, accelerate PoC-to-implementation timelines, increase profitability, and create cross-business opportunities.
• Performance management: Contribute to measurable growth in AI revenue, project conversion, cross-business engagement, and customer satisfaction across the assigned market.

Requirements

• Professional experience: 5+ years of experience in AI/ML solutioning or product development, ideally combining professional-services delivery and presales responsibilities.
• Presales expertise: At least 2 years of customer-facing presales experience with North American clients, including solution design, discovery, commercial discussions, and proposal development.
• AI commercial experience: At least 1 year of experience developing LOEs and Statements of Work for AI proofs of concept; AWS experience is highly preferred.
• Delivery background: Demonstrated success managing customer-facing AI or software engagements from initial concept through implementation.
• Project management: Experience managing 10+ concurrent projects and/or sales pursuits while maintaining strong prioritization and execution discipline.
• Technical foundation: Strong understanding of cloud-native architectures, AI/ML frameworks, data engineering, and modern software development practices.
• Distributed-team experience: Comfortable working with geographically distributed teams in a fast-paced, high-growth professional services environment.
• Business acumen: Ability to connect technical solutions to customer objectives, ROI, commercial outcomes, and broader business strategy.
• Communication: Highly effective verbal and written communication skills, with the confidence to engage customers, executives, technical specialists, and sales leadership.
• Leadership mindset: Strong ownership, accountability, responsiveness, initiative, and ability to coordinate cross-functional workstreams.
• Adaptability: Comfortable rapidly switching between customer pursuits, technical solutioning, delivery priorities, and strategic initiatives.
