AI Presales & Delivery Lead

This position is listed on behalf of a partner company, who manages all applications and next steps. Our partner is looking for an AI Presales & Delivery Lead based in the United States.

This is a senior, hands-on leadership role responsible for driving AI opportunities from early customer discovery through successful delivery. You will combine technical expertise, presales leadership, and delivery management to shape high-value AI and product-build engagements. The role sits at the intersection of Sales, Client Partnerships, Delivery, and customer teams, ensuring solutions are technically strong, commercially viable, and aligned with measurable business outcomes. You will lead discovery, solution design, estimates, proposals, Statements of Work, assessments, proofs of concept, and implementation initiatives. Working across international teams and markets, you will also help strengthen processes, improve profitability, and accelerate the conversion of AI opportunities into larger engagements. Accountabilities

• Serve as the lead presales subject matter expert for AI and product-build engagements, shaping early prospect and customer conversations and establishing the technical direction for opportunities.
• Lead customer discovery and scoping sessions, translate business challenges into technical requirements, develop cost models, and align estimates with delivery and P&L leadership.
• Develop high-quality proposals and Statements of Work for AI engagements, maintaining appropriate scope, pricing, and margin discipline.
• Coordinate technical subject matter experts, including AI and software architects, data engineers, and product leaders, for customer-facing discussions and solution development.
• Lead internal and customer kickoff sessions to establish clear objectives, scope, responsibilities, timelines, and success criteria.
• Translate customer business challenges into practical, scalable AI solutions while clearly communicating expected business value, outcomes, and ROI.
• Act as delivery lead for product-oriented assessments and Proofs of Concept, overseeing the creation of presentations, reports, roadmaps, recommendations, and other client deliverables.
• Oversee AI project execution from initiation through delivery, ensuring projects remain aligned with timelines, budgets, quality expectations, and agreed business outcomes.
• Partner with Client Partners and Project Managers to identify risks, resolve delivery challenges, manage dependencies, and proactively communicate with customers.
• Maintain a high-quality and consistent customer experience through strong communication, structured problem solving, and delivery excellence.
• Lead a significant share of AI pursuits and billable projects while helping improve presales conversion, delivery efficiency, and overall portfolio profitability.
• Identify opportunities to accelerate the transition from assessments and PoCs into implementation engagements and uncover cross-functional opportunities for broader client relationships.
• Recommend and implement improvements to presales and delivery processes, helping scale AI services efficiently across international markets.
• Build strong relationships with Sales, Client Partners, Software, AI, and delivery leadership while becoming a trusted technical and commercial partner for AI engagements.
• Contribute to the growth of the AI portfolio by supporting revenue expansion, cross-business opportunities, customer satisfaction, and long-term account development.

Requirements

• 5+ years of experience in AI/ML solutioning, product development, or related technical services, with experience spanning both presales and delivery within a professional services environment.
• At least 1 year of experience developing Levels of Effort (LOEs) and Statements of Work for AI Proofs of Concept, with AWS experience strongly preferred.
• 2+ years of customer-facing presales experience working with North American clients.
• Demonstrated success in solution design, technical presales, customer discovery, and delivery of AI or software engagements.
• Experience managing 10 or more concurrent projects, sales pursuits, or a comparable portfolio of complex workstreams.
• Strong technical foundation across cloud-native architectures, AI/ML frameworks, data engineering, and modern software development practices.
• Experience working with distributed teams and stakeholders in a fast-paced, high-growth technology or professional services environment.
• Strong understanding of AI/ML technologies and the ability to translate technical concepts into clear business value and practical customer solutions.
• Excellent commercial and analytical judgment, with the ability to balance customer outcomes, technical feasibility, delivery requirements, and profitability.
• Highly adaptable and comfortable switching rapidly between presales opportunities, active projects, customer conversations, and internal priorities.
• Strong ownership and accountability, with the ability to independently drive cross-functional initiatives from ambiguity to completion.
• High energy, enthusiasm, curiosity, and a genuine passion for technology and continuous learning.
• Highly responsive and proactive communication style, with the ability to build credibility with technical teams, executives, customers, and business stakeholders.
