By hiring the best people and helping them grow both professionally and personally, we ensure a bright future for NTT DATA Services and for the people who work here.NTT DATA Services currently seeks a Prometheus consultant to join our team in Charlotte, North Carolina (US-NC), United States (US).Primary job responsibilitiesActively contribute to high-profile open source projects including Prometheus, Alert Manager, Prometheus Operator, Kubernetes, and OpenShift by Red HatWork with the Kubernetes community to define instrumentation conventionsDefine and refine meaningful monitoring metrics and alerts for use within OpenShift by Red HatCollaborate with other engineering teams on integration monitoringArchitect creative solutions for solving cluster monitoring-related problemsServe as a core maintainer for various open source projectsShape key technical decisions for the overall offeringTake ownership of projects which are of high strategic importance to Red Hat and OpenShift by Red HatRequired skills4+ years of software engineering experienceExperience with infrastructure and application monitoringExperience troubleshooting complex issues in distributed systemsExperience architecting high-throughput APIsExperience contributing to open source projects or being an open source maintainerExperience building and deploying container-based applicationsSolid presentation and communication skillsWorking knowledge of GoPrior contribution to one of the existing projects is a plusExperience with disk I/O optimization is a plusThis position is only available to those interested in direct staff employment opportunities with NTT DATA, Inc. or its subsidiaries.
