Gart Capital Partners ("GCP") is the growth equity arm of The Gart Companies Inc., a diversified family investment office based in Denver, Colorado. Gart Capital invests primarily in three business sectors: specialty retail, consumer products, and business services. Role Summary We are seeking an accomplished, independent, and driven Associate who can effectively analyze, diligence, monitor, and drive growth in private equity investments. The Associate role at Gart Capital affords broader experience and more hands-on training than similar roles at many other firms. The Associate will work directly with Gart Capital's partners day to day and will participate in all elements of each deal, from the initial valuation, due diligence process, and ongoing strategic growth of the platform. The Associate will also assist Gart Capital's partners in sourcing platform and add-on transactions (allowing him or her to develop a strong professional network across the industry), as well as partner directly with portfolio company management teams to execute discrete projects and facilitate internal communication. Candidates must have 2 years minimum of investment banking, management consulting, or private equity experience. Essential responsibilities for an Associate include: Researching, analyzing and conducting diligence in support of new investment opportunities. Preparing sophisticated financial and detailed operating models. Analyzing and synthesizing large volumes of data. Leveraging AI tools and workflows for improved efficiency and action Preparing investment presentations for Gart Capital's partners and capital providers. Monitoring and preparing financial reporting packages for portfolio companies. Evaluating and analyzing various growth and value creation initiatives at the portfolio companies. The successful candidate will have the following qualities: Experience and interest in the U.S. consumer industry and trends. A genuine desire to live, work, and succeed in Denver. Unimpeachable ethical standards and behavior. An entrepreneurial mindset and the ability to define and manage work independently. Excellent interpersonal and communication skills (both written and oral). Excellent analytical, organizational, and project management skills. Experience working on M&A transactions and company valuations Top-tier financial modeling ability, including both financial and operational models.
