About the Position We are seeking an experienced, detail-oriented, tech-savvy Technician or Lead Technician for our Potomac-based branch ( serving MoCo, NOVA, DC, and broader metro DC area ). The successful applicant is service-oriented, client-focused, and proficient at installing, configuring, maintaining, and troubleshooting low-voltage integrated system equipment, devices, and components. What You’ll Be Doing Install, configure, service, and troubleshoot integrated AV, networking, lighting, shading, control, and other home automation systems Interpret project blueprints and system schematics to execute installations accurately Participate in site setup, rack buildouts, cable/panels/low-voltage terminations (as needed), and final system acceptance with clients Maintain remote access, monitoring, and service protocols for deployed systems; proactively support client systems for reliability and serviceability Act as the on-site point of contact for clients, designers, builders, and architects Ensure clean, code-compliant, and high-performance installations Stay up to date on smart home industry trends, new integrations, and automation best practices Mentor and lead junior technicians as needed Maintain company vehicle, tools, and equipment in excellent condition Deliver service that meets Daisy’s standards for quality, reliability, safety, and professionalism What You Bring to the Team At least 3–5 years of hands-on experience with AV, networking, and smart home technologies Mastery of basic wiring/cabling for low-voltage integrated systems (including panels, and junction boxes); electrician’s license preferred Ability to perform system configuration, calibration, programming, testing, and troubleshooting Proficiency with Control4 systems; experience with Savant, Crestron, Josh is a plus Industry certifications (CEDIA, AVIXA, manufacturer certifications, etc.) preferred Proficiency with Lutron products and installation Positive, customer-focused attitude, professional work ethic, and strong leadership, communication, problem solving, and customer service skills, with the ability to lead projects and mentor others Motivated to learn new technologies and processes Physically capable of lifting, kneeling, and climbing Clean driving record and valid driver’s license Must pass a background check and drug screening What We Offer Competitive compensation Bonus based on performance Flexible schedule Employee discounts and benefits Referral Bonus for bringing in other team members World Class Training, Development and Technician Support Career Pathways & Upward Mobility $35-$55/hr The position will begin part-time, with the opportunity to transition to full-time Additional Information We maintain a smoke-, drug-, and alcohol-free workplace on-site and when representing Daisy.
