About the Role As an Associate Attorney, you will represent clients in administrative matters before New York City's Office of Administrative Trials and Hearings (OATH/ECB). You'll work closely with our compliance specialists and clients to prepare cases, develop legal strategies, and achieve successful outcomes. This is an excellent opportunity for a newly admitted attorney or someone looking to build experience in administrative law, municipal law, and New York City real estate compliance. Responsibilities Represent clients at OATH/ECB administrative hearings (currently conducted remotely) Review, analyze, and prepare administrative violation cases for hearings Conduct legal research and develop strategies to resolve violations Draft affidavits, legal documents, and supporting submissions Communicate with clients to obtain documentation and explain case progress Maintain organized case files and manage multiple matters simultaneously Collaborate with internal compliance and operations teams to provide outstanding client service Qualifications Required Juris Doctor (J.D.) from an accredited law school Admission to the New York State Bar (or pending admission) Strong written and verbal communication skills Excellent organizational and time-management abilities Detail-oriented with strong analytical skills Ability to prioritize multiple deadlines in a fast-paced environment Professional, dependable, and client-focused Positive attitude and willingness to learn Preferred Experience with administrative law, OATH/ECB hearings, or New York City regulatory matters Experience in real estate, landlord-tenant, municipal law, or litigation Previous client-facing experience No prior OATH or ECB experience is required—we're happy to train the right candidate.
