Full-Time | $145,000-$175,000 + Bonus | Full Benefits Pharmacist in Charge / Pharmacy Manager Full-Time | $145,000-$175,000 + Bonus | Full Benefits Lead a Growing Specialty Compounding Pharmacy Medrock Pharmacy is looking for an experienced Pharmacist in Charge / Pharmacy Manager to lead our newest pharmacy location in Colleyville, Texas, and play a key role in the next phase of our growth. Medrock currently operates three specialty compounding pharmacies, with established locations in Florida and Tennessee and our newest location in Colleyville, TX. We are looking for a hands-on pharmacy leader who is comfortable leading from the front and working alongside the team. You'll be responsible for leading people and improving operations, but you'll also be expected to roll up your sleeves, solve problems, support the team, and get involved in daily workflow. The Opportunity As Pharmacist in Charge / Pharmacy Manager, you will lead the day-to-day operation of our Colleyville pharmacy and help establish the operational foundation for its continued growth. You'll work closely with the leadership team and the Lab Manager to ensure the pharmacy delivers exceptional patient care while operating efficiently, safely, and in compliance with all applicable standards. You'll have the opportunity to identify opportunities, implement better processes, develop your team, and help shape how this pharmacy grows. This Is a Hands-On Leadership Role The successful candidate will be expected to be actively involved in the operation, not simply oversee it. Depending on the needs of the business, you may be: Working alongside the laboratory team Supporting compounding and pharmacy operations Helping resolve workflow or staffing issues Supporting dispensing and verification Assisting the team during periods of increased volume Coaching employees in real time Troubleshooting operational problems Working wherever your leadership and expertise are most needed We believe the best pharmacy leaders understand the work because they're willing to do the work alongside their team! What You'll Own Pharmacy Operations Lead day-to-day pharmacy operations, including dispensing, lab coordination, clinical services, data entry, customer service, and shipping Be actively involved in operations and work alongside the team when needed Establish and maintain efficient workflows as the pharmacy grows Ensure appropriate staffing, productivity, and operational coverage Identify bottlenecks and continuously improve pharmacy processes Develop and implement policies, procedures, and operational best practices Partner with leadership on initiatives that support the growth of the Colleyville location and the broader company. People Leadership Lead, coach, mentor, and develop pharmacists, technicians, and support team members Establish clear expectations and accountability across the pharmacy Build a collaborative, professional, high-performance culture Lead by example and demonstrate the work standards expected of the team Conduct performance evaluations and provide ongoing feedback Recruit and help develop the team as the pharmacy expands Work closely with the Lab Manager to ensure strong coordination between pharmacy and laboratory operations Quality, Compliance & Patient Safety Maintain compliance with applicable Board of Pharmacy requirements and pharmacy quality/accreditation standards, including PCAB and VPP Own pharmacy quality and compliance outcomes Lead quality improvement initiatives and ensure appropriate documentation Ensure consistent adherence to clinical and operational best practices Serve as a subject-matter resource for pharmacy operations and patient care Lab & Compounding Oversight Maintain accountability for laboratory quality, compliance, and operational integration Partner with the Lab Manager on staffing, processes, budgeting, and continuous improvement Be willing to work directly in the laboratory when operationally appropriate Ensure pharmacy and laboratory workflows function as one coordinated operation Participate in policy, procedure, and process development as the organization grows What We're Looking For We're looking for a proven pharmacy leader. Just as importantly, we're looking for someone who is comfortable being hands‑on. Required Active Texas pharmacist license. Meaningful experience leading or managing pharmacy operations Demonstrated ability to lead, coach, and hold a team accountable Strong understanding of pharmacy compliance, quality, and patient safety Excellent communication and organizational skills Ability to make decisions, solve problems, and take ownership Comfortable working in a fast‑paced, evolving environment Willingness to work alongside pharmacists, technicians, and laboratory staff and step into operational roles when needed A hands‑on leadership style where you’re leading by example Strongly Preferred Experience in a compounding or specialty pharmacy environment Previous PIC, Pharmacy Manager, Pharmacy Operations Manager, or equivalent leadership experience Experience with pharmacy accreditation and quality programs Demonstrated success improving pharmacy workflows, productivity, or team performance Experience helping launch, build, or scale a pharmacy operation This position is best suited for an experienced pharmacy leader who wants meaningful responsibility, enjoys being involved in the operation, and wants the opportunity to make a measurable impact.
