Job Description As a Security Officer Mall Patrol Driver in Newport Beach, CA, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Retail/Malls, and more. As a Patrol Unarmed Officer at a premier retail and mall location, you will conduct routine patrols, maintain a visible presence to help deter security-related incidents, and deliver exceptional customer service to visitors, tenants, and staff. Position Type: Part Time / Day shift Pay Rate: $22.00 / Hour Job Schedule: DayTimeWed11:30 AM - 08:00 PMThur11:30 AM - 08:00 PMFri11:30 AM - 08:00 PM What You'll Do: Provide customer service to visitors, tenants, and/or employees by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities at a retail center location. Respond to incidents, customer concerns, and critical situations in a calm, professional, problem‑solving manner, communicating with site management and/or emergency services as needed. Conduct regular and random foot and/or vehicle patrols of common areas, parking facilities, storefront perimeters, and exterior grounds to help deter unauthorized activity. Observe and report unusual activity, property conditions, and policy violations, completing accurate incident reports and daily activity documentation. Assist with access control, visitor assistance, and directions while maintaining a professional presence throughout the property. Minimum Requirements: A valid driver’s license is required in accordance with Allied Universal driver policy requirements. A state, county, or city‑issued security‑related license is preferred. CPR and First Aid certification are preferred. Experience with handcuffs, pepper spray, and batons is preferred. Ability to lift more than 20 pounds is preferred. Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles. Possess a high school diploma or equivalent. As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws. Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws. As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law. Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment. A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
