Shift: 7:00 AM - 7:30 PM

Experience:

• 24 months of experience with 3 months worked in the last 12 months.

• 24 months of Medical Surgical / Telemetry Unit experience with 12 months worked in the last 3 years.

• 3 months of Cerner experience is preferred.

Requirements:

• Candidates must have a Arizona license or compact license (required for submission).

• This role may require floating to additional units and locations

• Travel only, local not allowed. Candidates must live >50 miles from facility to be submitted.

Required Skills/Experience: Reading basic telemetry strips. Some experience with general and orthopedic surgical patients, CVA and TIA.

Required Credentials: You are required to pass a Basic Dysrhythmia/EKG exam during onboarding.

Special Requests: Any employment gaps greater than 30 days must be explained. Cannot have worked at any CommonSpirit location within the last 12 months. Cannot apply to more than one job order on the same unit and shift at the facility.

Unit Details: COVID, respiratory, GI, diabetic, telemetry, TIA, CVA, general, orthopedic, and spinal surgical patients. No titratable drips; Diltiazem at a set rate. Telemetry is monitored remotely; monitor techs read and post strips, and RNs are required to interpret strips and sign at least once a shift. BiPAP, CPAP, high flow, and some breathing treatments.

Shift & Scheduling: Schedules are made out for 4 weeks. Self-scheduling is used but not final until the manager balances. 2 weekends per 4-week schedule. For Christmas, New Year’s, and Thanksgiving, work 2 days and 1 evening or 2 evenings and 1 day (Christmas Eve, Christmas Day, New Year’s Eve, New Year’s Day, Thanksgiving Day). No call.

Floating Requirements: First to float. May float to East Campus, and possibly PCU if qualified.

Facility holidays: 11/26/2026, 12/25/2026, 01/01/2027. Number of holidays allowed off: 1. Start assignment restriction: 14 days
